Besides the time Dan puts into real estate, he is also involved in many other activities that are very important to him. One is being Coach of the Ilwaco High School golf team, of which finished fourth in the WIAA Washington State Championship last spring. He is also the director of District 3 for the Washington State Junior Golf Association based in Tacoma, Washington. This keeps him very busy during the spring, summer, and fall. His wife, Lynn teaches 6th grade in the local school district and have two sons in high school. As a family they enjoy trips to their cabin at Mt. Hood where they love to ski in the winter and hike and hang out in the summer. Both boys play basketball and golf, and work hard academically so they can go to college in a few years. The Whealdon family history includes the platting of Ilwaco (640 acres) in the 1860s. Isaac and Mary Ann Whealdon came from Ipavia, IL in the 1850s to Oregon City and on to Ilwaco. Dan is proud to say that he lives in Ilwaco, and his connection to the past. He is also proud to be part of the Lighthouse Realty team that Todd Kaino has put together. Dan worked for Childrens Services through Washington State for five years so he is used to helping families. Helping people and families with their real estate needs is something Dan enjoys doing.
