My ending up on the peninsula is nothing short of a dream come true. Growing up in Missouri, I could feel the pull of the ocean with in me. I often sat on the banks of the Mississippi river yet always heard the sound of the sea in my head and heart.  I moved to Portland to be closer, but even that wasn’t enough. When my Portland home was hit by a mudslide in 1996, I saw it as an opportunity to fulfill my dream and moved to the peninsula. I started a real estate magazine called The Salty Dog geared to shine the light that I was feeling onto others who might enjoy the area too. My 4 year old daughter made an insert for kids and named it The Salty Pup. Now she has her Master’s degree in journalism and is currently working for the Associated Press. We thrived here due in part to the amazing people who also love nature and the sea. It was a great place to raise a child.

I have enjoyed many blessings. Being nestled between the ocean, Willapa Bay and the majestic Columbia River is more than I could ever dreamed of. In 2005 I became a Realtor for Lighthouse Realty and went on to get my Managing Brokers License. I have been the top selling agent for the company for numerous consecutive years and have appeared on HGTV’s Beachfront Bargain Hunt 3 separate times. My Midwest friendliness, years of marketing experience and desire to help others find their “happy place” has served me well.
